Zawaji (“Zawaji”, “we”, “our” or “us”) is a Muslim marriage and matchmaking application operated by Numu AI Solutions, Mushrif, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, processed, stored and shared when you use the Zawaji application, website and related services.

1. Information you provide

Depending on the features you use, we may process information you provide directly, including:

• name, profile name, email address and phone number;

• date of birth or age information and gender;

• city, country, location information or geographic preferences;

• profile biography, education, occupation and lifestyle information;

• marriage preferences, compatibility answers and religiosity information;

• profile photographs and verification information;

• likes, passes, matches, unmatches and blocks;

• messages and communications sent through Zawaji;

• reports, support messages and safety-related submissions; and

• other information you choose to provide.

2. Authentication

Zawaji may support email/password authentication and supported third-party sign-in providers. Where social login is used, we may receive information permitted by that provider, such as your name, email address and provider account identifier, to authenticate and maintain your account.

3. Profile visibility

Information you place on your Zawaji profile may be displayed to other eligible Zawaji members according to the application's product design and privacy controls. Do not place information in your profile that you do not want other eligible members to see.

4. Face and liveness verification

Zawaji uses face-liveness and related verification technology to help confirm that a live person is completing verification and to support profile integrity.

For the current verification design, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Rekognition Face Liveness processes the live verification session. Zawaji configures the AWS liveness session with an audit-image limit of zero, so Zawaji does not request an AWS human-review audit-image set.

After a successful liveness check, Zawaji receives a reference image from the liveness result, sanitizes/re-encodes that image and stores one protected reference face image in private application storage. This protected reference is used to compare future profile photographs against the verified face and help prevent impersonation. The reference image is not intended to be publicly visible.

When an account is permanently deleted, Zawaji's deletion process is designed to remove the protected verification reference and related verification records, except information that must lawfully be retained.

5. Profile photo processing

Profile photographs may be processed for safety, moderation and identity-comparison purposes. Images may be normalized or re-encoded before processing or storage.

6. Location

Zawaji may request access to approximate or precise device location when you choose to use location-based profile or discovery features. Location access is subject to device permission. You can deny or later change the permission in your device settings. Zawaji should not access device location for a feature that does not require it.

7. Matching and interaction information

We process information about your use of matching features, including profiles you interact with, likes, passes, incoming likes, matches, unmatches and blocks. This information is used to operate Zawaji's discovery and matching functions.

8. Messages

Messages and related metadata may be stored and processed to deliver messaging, maintain conversation history, investigate reports, prevent abuse and enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.

9. Device and technical information

We may process technical information needed to operate and secure Zawaji, such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, authentication/session information, error information and push-notification tokens.
